Welcome to Living Social! In this episode we are going to tour the new Hotel Bennett.
Are you looking for a new way to spice things up? Well, Hotel Bennett on King Street has style, color, and flair!
Hotel Bennett has been branded as the south’s grandest new luxury hotel. You can really see the combination of native Charlestonian mixed with classical European design. The extensive use of marble, limestone, copper and tile create a sense of grandeur. The location and the building itself combine history with contemporary culture.
This beautiful hotel is so unique because it used to be home to the Charleston Library. Just as British Airways began their direct London to Charleston flight in January, Hotel Bennett was opening its doors.
The hotel has 179 guest rooms, a heated pool, a rooftop bar, a French bakery, a stylish restaurant, and a spa. I came to enjoy the lounge with friends, and we all enjoyed taking in the views. The roof top bar looks on to Marion Square and all of downtown Charleston.
In terms of dining, guests have four options including Gabrielle. Much like the architectural and interior design, Gabrielle combines old-world charm with the character of the South. The Executive Chef trained extensively in Europe and New Orleans. His signature style is Coastal Carolina.
This luxurious hotel did not just pop up overnight. It actually took the CEO of Bennett Hospitality over twenty years and even a multi-year detour to the State Supreme Court. They broke ground in March of 2015 and finished a year behind schedule. While the setbacks piled up, the final product lives up to the hype!
The ballroom and event space a sure to be popular for society events and weddings. The dramatic 20-foot ceilings are sure to catch the eye of all attendees!
Visit Hotel Bennett for date night, a drink with the girls, or a stylish spot for visiting friends and family.
